I like to go out in the morning to watch the mockingbirds. For some reason they like to jump up off their perch, spread their wings and land back on the perch in almost the same spot. They all do it. This is not unique behavior for just this bird but, on this jump, it went a little higher than it had been. I wonder if they are catching bugs or just doing their morning calisthenics?
