Oil on canvas.
The photo of this rooster was taken at a living history museum in Virginia.
The goal of the museum was to explain the evolution of the American farm. Irish, English, and German farm buildings had been dismantled in their respective countries, shipped to Virigina, and reassembled, along with American ones, at this site so that you could see the influence each had on our American farm buildings. In addition to the buildings on each farm, they had animals from the period represented as well. I don't know what kind of rooster this is, but I thought he was pretty.
